Oh my, I had so much fun making this card.  I’m entering this in four challenges:

Beginning with CAS Mix Up since I love mixing up different mediums. In this case: die-cuts, stamping and watercolour.

Since this card involves Watercolour and Memory Box dies, it is also entered in the Memory Box June Challenge #13

Plus, My Hero Arts seahorse die-cut along with the vellum, qualifies my card for this month’s Vellum Challenge  on A Blog Named Hero.Capture d’écran 2016-08-23 à 12.03.30Capture d’écran 2016-08-23 à 12.05.43

As for the amazing sketch challenge, it’s from  CAS(E) This Sketch #175 designed by Hannelie Bester.

I first started with a seahorse die-cut, from Hero Arts, using watercolour paper. I applied water-based brush markers, wet on wet, using Tombow makers (#133 & #493)   Finishing the piece with a little Pearlescent Shimmer from Daniel Smith so I could add some sparkle. Once dry, Crackle Accents were used to add texture to parts of the body, followed by Liquid Pearls (lime green & aqua) and Enamel Accents for the eye.

For the background I did reverse stamping using the Gelli-Plate.  You can see the video tutorial by @art_by_marlene 💙  https://youtu.be/ryMqQRBne8U .  I brushed on the same Tombow colours above on the Gelli-Plate and added texture by stamping IO’s cover a card gradation on the gelli-plate thus I got this subtle background print.  I made a couple more prints to use for the other die-cuts (Sea Side Treasures from Memory Box and MFT’s Leafy Greens).

I pasted a white die-cut of Memory Box’s Sketchy Rings on Vellum and then fussy cut the Vellum.  I covered the Gelli-Plate background with this piece and added a clear embossed black “thanks” from Penny Black.  All my other die-cuts were then glued on 😀

Thanks for stopping by!
