Fine Feather

The CAS Mix Up Challenge for July is stamping and Capture d’écran 2016-08-23 à 11.55.25
markers + my choice …may I say choices? (heat embossing, vellum and die-cutting)

I started by inking up the Stampendous “Peacock Feather” stamp with Tombow markers #133, #173 and #346.  Spritzing it with a little water I stamped on Bristol paper.  The image is clearer than on cold press watercolour paper and just as thick.  While wet, I dotted certain areas with Tombow # 565 to give the feather depth and dimension.  Once dry, to sparkle it up, I carefully used stickles.  This loosened up the hard edges so a little moves alot, LOL.

Using Nellie Snellen’s multi-frames, simple because I love crooked edges, I die-cut my feather and aqua vellum. I attached these two pieces with an eyelet making sure that the beaded wire was fasten underneath (card jewelry 😉 ).  The background piece of Bristol paper was white embossed using the same stamp.  “Pour Toi” stamped in black means “For You“!  Happy cardmaking!
