Bisous

It’s been over a week since my last blog and, believe it or not,Capture d’écran 2016-09-04 à 17.11.53 we do get rusty.  Just to make it more of a challenge I attacked September’s CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.  Marbling, ouch, something new for me.  Ok, so I gave Kimberly’s technique a try -> Simple Suminagashi Technique by Dick Blick…  didn’t have the right inks available so I used both Winsor Newton’s and Liquitex acrylic Inks a try (in red and gold).  Not as intense so I decreased the amount of water since they tend to sink.  On the corner of my desk, I had a piece of cardstock with dried white coarse paste.  I die cut these two papers, added gold spatters and came up with this. The stamped and embossed “Bisous” means kisses.capture-decran-2016-09-08-a-11-29-19

Being a new technique is the Challenge Game #72 on the AAA cards Blog !

Hope you enjoy, happy card marbling 😀

  2. Even though you didn’t have the right inks, this turned out beautifully! Love your colours and also the texture in the white flower. And your ladybug is adorable – so clever! Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up!

  4. I tried this technique with re-inkers and it didn’t work I think the paint is probably a better thickness because this is beautiful! It’s a messy technique but makes some awesome prints! Love the texture of the white flower to contrast with the pretty marbled colors! Thanks so much, Joanna, for sharing this with us at CAS Mix Up!
