Souvenir

capture-decran-2016-10-09-a-12-05-45My last post in October, as a Guest Designer for CAS Colours & Sketches, leaves me with a beautiful “Souvenir” of the awesome Design Team from this fun challenge blog.  This card is for these creative people and to say THANKS 😉  for this fun journey!

I die-cut 3 Sizzix wild flowers in watercolour paper and painted them with Zig Clean Color Brushes. Then the stitched horizontal strip of vellum was white heat embossed towards the bottom left with a grass edge stamp.   Green ink splatters were placed to the upper half of the white card stock base.  Once the 3 flowers were dry, they were adhered to the left, just under the grass on the vellum.  The word die “Souvenir”, on the bottom right of the card, was also white heat embossed to match the grassy pasture and mounted, just off, an olive green word die cut.

I can’t wait to see your cards creations for this week’s sketch challenge #197.

Thanks for stopping by, happy card making 😀  HUGz Joanna

  4. WOW! Your take on the sketch is simply AWESOME! So elegant with the die cut vellum panel and the trio of die cut flowers for the star elements in the sketch – genius and so unique. It’s been a pleasure having you Guest Design with us at CC&S this month. Hugs Bev x
