A Mojo Monday good morning challenge #482 for me 😉 This quick card is composed of Japanese paper and silver card stock to fit Julee’s wonderful sketch! Added some bling with silver thread and crystal beads. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week, HUGz Joanna
“Just Us Girls” Challenge #378 is photo week. I die cut 3 daisies and proceeded to stamp and white heat embossed each one with a different background stamp. They were fasten together by adding yellow gold beads. Black twine was glued as the stem and the outline of a leaf. The black and white lady bug was clear heat embossed and also glued. I stamped in black Versamark Ink “Pour toi” (for you). The white card piece was adhered onto a white card base and the card was finished.
Hope you enjoy, happy card making, HUGz Joanna
Less is More Challenge #313 is “ballOOns” 😉 I started by adding alcohol inks on a piece of acetate and then spritzed with alcohol to get the colours moving. Once dry, I die cut 3 balloons and tied coloured thread to each. I die cut and clear embossed a circles die in white and added this in the center of my base card stock. Then I glued the balloons on with Glossy Accents, stamped “Moment Magiques” (Magic Moments) and the card was done.
Hope you enjoy, happy card making, HUGz Joanna
This is a special card, my Mom will be 90 this year 😛 I believe this anniversary deserves to GLISTEN, CASology Week #233, so I made this one with lotsa luv! I applied matte medium to the bottom third of my white card base and placed a piece of Japanese paper to follow the CAS Colours & Sketches #297. Once dry I tore off the excess and passed an MFT die to create the tiny holes. I rapidly added gold thread and a few glistening beads. Again, a few drops of Matte medium to add gilding fakes which were also applied to the word die “Bonne Fête” (Happy Birthday) Finally, I added Nuvo Glitter Drops, matted this piece on a gold card base and my special card was finished.
Hope you enjoy, have a great week, thanks for stopping by, HUGz Joanna
“Love is in the air” 😉 that’s my theme this morning to Mojo Monday’s sketch #481. I first started my white card base with a circle stencil by adding modelling paste to which I spritzed with Dylusions Ink Spray. Then I added a dry embossed rectangle to the bottom portion. For my focal point, I stamped love birds in sepia Versamark ink to which I coloured with my Copics. White embossed leaves to give a wintery feel, and the left over red embossed berries to feed from. A red embossed circle heart hung from a brown twine attached with a brad. A word die “love” to finish my card. That’s my take on the sketch.
Have a great week, thanks for stopping by, HUGz Joanna
New neighbours, new home, sweet happiness 😀
I started this card with the inspiration of 3 challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches #271,
Color Throwdown #426 colour palette and
Less is More Challenge #312 theme being “New Beginnings”
I die-cut the home out of cork and inserted a little heart which was clear heat embossed. I prepared the white card base by trimming grey card stock to which I had clear heat embossed a 6 x 6 flower stamp. A little white sun shimmered with Wink of Stella and a coat of clear heat embossing was added. Finally, a word die “Bonheur” (happiness) in glossy black card stock, was then adhered !

Truly a simple card for the CAS Colours & Sketches # 206. A clean lined heart die-cut in water colour paper and coloured with Zig clean brush markers, Flirty Flamingo for the centre spiral and Watermelon Wonder for the heart itself. This piece was clear heat embossed 3 times. An Island Indigo vellum tag die was used to stamp “Je t’aime” in white embossing powder and attached to the heart with same colour twine. This was adhered to a white card base which was stamped and white embossed with a 6 x 6 rose stamp. Just in time for my special man 😉

This is a one layer card in honour of my favourite morning brew 😛 I masked off the black board section and with a square mask, I added flexible molding paste by using TCW mini labyrinth stencil to the upper left. Then I stamped my mug, and fussy cut another to mask it. With a homemade rectangle stencil, I sponged black Memento ink to simulate those coffee shop black boards. A frame was drawn with a white gel pen and the contour was drawn using a black micron pen. Once done, I stamped “What’s Perking?” and white heat embossed. The blue and yellow coffee cup was coloured with Zig clean colour brushes and some splatters of the same colours were added over the molding paste. Wink of Stella was added to the blackboard, Nuvo glitter drops were added to the heart and the mug was finished with a thick coat of Glossy Accents. The diagonal stitched stripe was created by using a Papersmooches die. Black rhinestones were used to finish this one layer card 😀
I’m entering my card in three challenges:
Color Throwdown #425 Less is More Challenge#311 & Mojo Monday Challenge #480

This is a mid-January reminder, so there’s plenty of time to play at CAS Mix UP! Liquid Colours is the theme this month, so I used 2 alcohol inks on Yupo paper to imitate the beautiful movement in ballroom gowns. Once dry, I splattered the piece with 90% rubbing alcohol. Using the Tim Holtz’s Runway stamps I inked up the upper portion of the model and stamped directly onto the Yupo paper, keeping in mind that once I’d fussy cut the gown, I would be following the flow of the drippings as the gown’s bottom edge. I repeated the stamping exercise by inking up directly onto my white card base. Then the gown of Yupo paper was glued on with matte medium. “Happy Birthday” was stamped in the same tones, clear heat embossed and the card was done.
Hope you get inspired to join us at CAS Mix Up, can’t wait to see your beautiful creations in our gallery! Thanks for stopping by, HUGz
Experimenting with mulberry paper I saturated the midsection of my rectangular piece, using a brush, with Dylusion Ink Spray (in vibrant turquoise ….the closest blue tint I could get). Die cutting the flowers 3 times and adhering them together, I used a crackle stamp from IO, to stamp the flowers in yellow pigment ink and then clear heat embossed. To add more punch, I wrapped around the stem and the receptacles of the blooms with yellow thread. Glossy black card stock was used for the “hugs” die cut and the border was made by using an old Martha Stewart punch. This card was inspired by Kim‘s Freshly Made Sketche #270 and Color Throwdown’s #425 colour palette.
At the CAS Mix Up January Challenge, we’re using liquid colours, hope you’ll give it a try.
