A quick card to for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #223. Fiona’s colours are Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand & Sweet Sugarplum.
My first panel in Sahara Sand, was die cut with a Sizzix Thinlit die. Peaking through the apertures is a Sweet Sugarplum card stock heat embossed with sparkling powder. This was then adhered to a slightly bigger panel in Rich Razzleberry card stock. For the sentiment, the “Hello” word die was die cut 3 times in Rich Razzleberry for dimension. All was adhered onto a Sahara Sand card base.
That’s my take on the challenge, thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz Joana
Less is More #328 is featuring Spots & Stripes. Yup a one layer card, I had skipped that part the first time around. So I die cut a flower and leaves mask to ink blend my colours and then I stamped in Versafine black the Spots & Stripes. Some Clear and Sparkle heat embossing to give some shine, the heart of the flower was heat embossed with white puff embossing powder. “En toute amitié” (in friendship) was stamped as the sentiment.
Hope you enjoy, thanks for stopping by, HUGz, Joanna
It’s the CAS Mix Up reminder card CAS Mix Up challenge is “SPATTERING” 😉 + Stamping + Your Choice!
The card base is watercolour paper which I completely wetted and added splatters of Maganese and Ultramarine blue while very wet. While waiting for my piece to dry I also watercolored the hydrangea die cuts. Once everything was dry I added splatters of the same watercolours plus diluted white & silver acrylic paint to the base. I also stamped the flowers with a French Script stamp. A white ticket tag was stamped and heat embossed “Pour toi” (for you) and blue twine was attached. Two leaf die cuts in white were also adhered to the collection.
Hope to see your scrumptious creations in our gallery, take a look at the design team’s inspirational cards, including our guest designer’s. Thanks for stopping by, Hugs
A fun card to match Hannelie from Desert Diva CASE card from the TIME OUT Challenge #83. Featuring SSS products, the black embossed large Quadrangle Frame die + the Whimsy Flower die were cut in 110lb white card stock. The black dots and stripes partial stamping added some pizazz, I think 😉 A little partial glitter embossing, some orange & yellow ink blending and the card easily came together.

This week at CAS(E) this Sketch #221, Donna‘s creation inspired my card. Dry embossing was done for the bottom strip, flattered with teeny pearls 😉 Then I added a slit with my craft knife so that I could slip 5 hearts from the IO’s die heart stems, which were heat embossed with sparkle embossing powder. Pearls were also added to this heart bouquet. Another heart ring was heat embossed twice with silver pearl and wrapped around the stems for stability. Hope you enjoy 😀

Color Throwdown #442 is dedicating this week’s blog to their special member Barbara. The color values this week are kraft, yellow, gray, and aqua! I die cut IO’s feather to create a mask for the ink blending of the 4 colours. Then I inked in Versafine sepia a French Script background stamp also from IO. To finish a vellum feather die cut was pasted on top along with sequins of the 4 colours. A “Merci” (thank you) die cut work in sepia yardstick, clear heat embossed twice was added for the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and for your gracious comments, HUGz Joanna
It’s the start of a new week and I had to give this challenge a little twist 😉 Julee is so productive with creating her sketches, I thought I’d make a special view on her Mojo Monday sketch #496. Using Tattered Lace dies (Her decorative embellishments) I used yellow card stock for the double street lamp and a public bench in substitute for the two banners. My mind’s eye “Happy Day” 6×6 paper pack was used to make the flower left bracket. Then an aqua piece of vellum was stamped with birds and the sentiment “jolie Pensée” (happy thought) with white embossing powder (stamp set from kesi’art). A little sparkle of Nuvo drops on the lanterns and the heart. That’s my take 😉

A sunshine card for the Less is More Challenge #327 – Yellow & Grey. Sponging yellow and grey on white card stock and then stamping a branch of leaves (Kaisercraft) in the same inks is the base square die-cut. I white embossed a butterfly to accent the daisy aperture. A crystal yellow dot for the center, all on a square piece of vellum. The word die “thanks” from Penny Black was die cut in left over sponging 😉
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week, HUGz Joanna
The first of May is a sprint of 5 birthdays, hubby, 3 grandkids and a son-in-law. So I got inspired by these three great blogs:
Less is More: Challenge #326 – Lucky Dip Shadow!
Color Throwdown: #440 purple, yellow and spring green
CAS(E) this Sketch #219
I applied purple, yellow and green alcohol inks on Yupo paper and allowed it to dry. Then on my white textured card base I created a window using Papersmooches Stitched Frames Dies. I also stamped, black puffed embossed and die cut KokoPelli from the Papersmooches Southwestern Charm collection. Then I stamped in Versafine black and shadowed in light grey the sentiment “Joyeux Anniversaire” (Happy Birthday).
Thanks so much for stopping by, warm HUGz, Joanna
Life’s been very busy for me lately, so I stole some “me time” to get my week started. Julee’s sketch #495 from the Mojo Monday blog was a little boost to get me going. I followed the sketch by scoring the base then adding on the elements; Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid 6×6 paper pack, blue vellum die cut, and a bright orange ticket die cut for the sentiment “Bon Anniversaire” (Happy Birthday). A May flower die-cut with some thread to finish 😀
Hope you have a great week, thanks for stopping by, HUGz Joanna
