The Color Throwdown Challenge #469 has a monochromatic palette of blue, light blue, and silver. So out came the gelli plate and my Tombow brush pens of Blue#565, Light Blue#491 and a Grey#55. Of course I used a wire mesh stencil and a crackle stamp from Impression Obsession to add texture to the light blue diagonally cut strip. I then tore a sheet of paper (used it as a stencil) and made the dark blue diagonal print on my card base. A double tag from MFT was cut and the frame in the cool grey was clear heat embossed after using my clear Wink of Stella pen to give it the silver tone. A paper clip die cut was also tinted in the dark blue and clear heat embossed. Then I stamped “Message Important” (Important Message) in the cool grey\wink of stella combo. I’d say it’s a masculine card ready to GO 😉
Thanks for stopping by, warm HUGz, Joanna
Welcome back to the CAS Mix Up Challenge, you still have time to enter the November 24th deadline. This month’s theme is hosted by Bonnie, “Stamping + Glitter + your choice” 😉 !
For this card I made a stencil with the Penny Black Christmas Kiss die and applied thick gloss gel adding silver glitter while wet. Then I die cut Concord & 9th Layering Leaves die twice, in white and silver card stock. A tiny white tag die was stamped “Bonjour” (hello) and heat embossed with Color Box’s Silver Sparkle. To finish, silver thread was wrapped around the upper portion of the card and a silver eyelet attached the dies together.
The Design Team is joined by our talented Guest Robyn and there is plenty of wonderful inspiration to create from the team and from the gallery. Can’t wait to see your creations 😀
Thanks for stopping by and your warm comments, HUGS
