CASology is one of the challenges I so often participate in because they seek “making the complicated, SIMPLE” and that’s the defeat I try to work by. I’ve been graciously invited as their Guest Designer this week, truly an honour. The cue word this week is “LATE“! A little die-cut and a bit of stamping make for a CAS card atop a white card base is my idea of keeping it simple.
Using a left over piece of painted watercolour paper, dried with cling wrap, a die cut was made using MFT Stitched Rounded Rectangles STAX. Before adhering the die cut to my white card base, I melted some UTEE to give it some shine, adding a few grains on the card base. Once glued, using a circle punch, I cut a groove out of the front top of my card to then add an eyelet and a tinted cheesecloth bow (I wanted to make sure that it would nicely fit in an envelope 😀 ). Finally I stamped and gold heat embossed the dots and sentiment “Je suis un peu en retard…” “I’m a little late…” for a special late Birthday Card. I used white enamel accents on the die cut to imitate and repeat the stamped dots.
I hope you’ll join this lovely team over at CASology for this week’s challenge. I wish to send a warm thanks to this talented group of card makers.
Thank YOU so much for stopping by, hugs, Joanna
So much packed into your small panel Joanna. Gorgeous colours, design, and elements that give it shine, texture and dimension. Love the died cheesecloth bow! Congrats on being the Guest Designer at CAS-ology this week! xx
