Yellow Rose

Capture d_écran 2018-01-15 à 13.04.05A sunny card for Sunday morning.  I’m the host over at CAS Mix Up and this month’s challenge is to use Felt, Cork OR Canvas.  Great videos and DT inspiration to give you ideas 😀

I cut a square out of yellow canvas which I stamped MFT’s Rose background stamp with Spiced Marmelade Oxide ink.  This quite opaque chalky ink gave a very good impression which I couldn’t achieve with other inks.  I then cut a larger square out of white card stock and stamped “Bonne Fête” (Happy Birthday) with the same ink all around the perimeter.  Using a Papersmooches rose die, I cut 4 pieces of orangish card stock, glueing them together with a fifth out of white card stock to which I applied a coat of the Nuvo Glitter Drops.  Once all assembled I added yellow Twine along with two crystal beads.

Thanks so much for stopping by, HAPPY SUNDAY 😉 HUGz

  2. I LOVE your canvas background with the stamping, Joanna! Nice to know that the DOX inks work well on the canvas. I’ll have to give them a try! Love that big, sparkly flower with the beaded twine dangling from a petal that adds an extra pow to your card!
