CAS Watercolour – Bird

Capture d_écran 2018-04-04 à 12.38.21Just had to play at the April CAS Watercolour with the them – BIRD.   So I popped out a piece of 300gm watercolour paper to make a OLC and stamped a bird from the Home Sweet Home set by IO.  Masking him off I also stamped and clear heat embossed a script on birds from the same set.  I added water pool to create a rectangle contour and added 2 Brusho powders of Leaf Green & Turquoise.  Once dry, I brushed the excess powder away and began adding Gansai white gold on the top part activating a little of the turquoise edge.  To the bird’s belly I continued with the white gold and added a touch of antique gold.  Since I had stamped with my Misti, I re-stamped the bird and heat embossed in gold.  I added water splatters above my birdie’s head to lighten the colours and sponged the water off.

Capture d_écran 2018-04-04 à 12.38.39I finally got some fun time in my craft room to play.  Taking part in the April CAS Christmas Challenge them – ORNAMENT.  To keep it simple, I die cut in silver foil an ornament from Spellbinders.  I also die-cut a deckled rectangle to which I added some silver & pearl ink splashes.  I silver heat embossed “Joyeux Noël” (Merry Christmas), glued the ornament with a silver thread bow, added 3 beads and the card was done.
