Foiled AI

A thank you card made with Alcohol Inks on translucent Yupo paper.  A couple of weeks ago I watched this video by Kelly Latevola on foiling over AIs.  After seeing Jodi Collins’ Capture d_écran 2018-05-31 à 14.29.00AI card from the Color Throwdown #495 colour challenge, I decided it was time to give it a try.  Capture d_écran 2018-05-31 à 14.29.18Using Denim and Wild Plum AIs, I waited the drying time required, BUT, instead of just pressing Gold Deco Foil on top, I passed it through my Cuttlebug.  Well, as you can see, it pressed more of the scratches from my plate than the stickiness left from the AIs.  Nevertheless it was still beautiful …to me 😉  .  So I used Jen Brum’s perfect sketch from Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #339  to finish this card.  I scored the right diagonal side and completed with the foiled AI Yupo paper.  With a left over piece, I die cut “merci” (thank you) and adhered it.

Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz, Joanna

Capture d_écran 2018-05-31 à 11.32.25A mix of two challenges: Capture d_écran 2018-05-31 à 11.32.12CASology: Week 302 SQUIGGLE & CAS Colours & Sketches: Challenge #274 – The Double.  I used the respective Brusho colours onto a piece of 140lb watercolour cold press paper.  Once dry it was die cut with a Spellbinders squiggle flower in Going Grey along with Nellie’s Multi Frames Dies Photo Frames in the Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist colours.  The top horizontal border was created by partial dry embossing a strip with a Sizzix Swirls Embossing Folder.  Some My Mind’s Eye enamel dots were added in orange and grey.
