Welcome back for the May CAS Mix Up Reminder, you still have up until the 24th to play. For this card I dry embossed Memory Box’s Sketchy Rings onto a piece of Bristol paper adding gelatos for each ring with a water brush. Once dry, I adhered with Mat Medium tissue paper, previously stamped with an oriental scripts stamp from Kaisercraft, with Staz-On black ink. Then I glued the rings die cut, in black card stock, on top of my collage and fussy cut the outer edges. Using MFT’s Stitchable Dot Circle I die-cut the card base, positioning it with my collage piece.
Don’t forget to take a look at all the inspiration from our Design Team including technical videos. Can’t wait to see your scrumptious creations in our gallery 😀 Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz
Hello everyone, I have the honour of Guest Designing for the new challenge #371, Yellow, Blue & Grey, over at Less Is More 😀 I started by adding Yellow and Ost. Blue Brushos to 140 lb watercolour paper and spritz with water. Once dry, I die cut two Tim Holtz wildflowers 2 thinlits die by Sizzix. Each flower was stamped with an IO scratches stamp, the yellow in grey Memento and the blue in Colorbox white pigment. On my textured card base, I smooshed some grey and then stamped in fog Memento ink with a script cover-a-card by IO. The flowers were adhered with Matte Medium and “Encouragement” (Comfort a sympathy card) was stamped in grey and clear heat embossed.
Hope to see you in the Less is More GALLERY, thanks for stopping by, HUGz, Joanna
I wanted something soft so I opted for tones of grey, silver and silver pearl for my creation. Inspiration from the TIME OUT Challenge #109 and the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #271. I used Bristol paper to stamp my Around the Edge by Dylusions in Fog Memento Ink and then restamped to add Clear Glitter EP. My panel was then die cut with MFT’s Die-namics Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Windows so that I could water colour each three windows with Gansai Tambi white gold along with a homemade greyish blue from Daniel Smith’s primary colours. Some splatters were added and then the three pieces were popped up by layering 4 die cuts, inlaying them into place. Tiny silvery Japanese paper flower die cuts, to which I added a pearl center, were added. A “hello SWEET FRIEND” from Technique Tuesday Chickadees was stamped-silver heat embossed on a vellum MFT HIP CLIPS Die-Namics die cut, along with another bloom.

This is the second challenge for a Musical Tournament sponsored by Lime Citron using their Products. We have to include an artist from our part of the world, so I printed the music sheet from one of Richard Desjardin’s song called ” Le coeur est un oiseaux” (The heart is like a bird). He’s from the northern part of Québec, Canada, where I was born and raised.
Following the musical theme, the rules for week #2 are:
- 2_distinct colours
- Use golden or gold
- Use the 3 chosen colours
- Doodle with a marker or pen
- Lime Citron products
Énigma: Essential organ to life, it also symbolizes love or the central part of something. Who am I? …I chose a bird that has a ❤ for it’s tail; one on the stamped banner and finally, I added a heart border die with 2 gold hearts just under the word “coeur” located in the title of the song. Thanks for stopping by, HUGz, Joanna
Products: Lime Citron Triangle stencil Dotted branche Sentiment & Banner “Tu me manques” (I miss you); Brushos (Ost. Blue & yellow); tissue paper; Bristol paper, Gold foil, cobalt, white & grey card stock; Dies bird die, treble clef, heart border die; Doodles done with Yasutomo Gel Xtreme Metallic gold pen; clear, white and gold embossing powder.
Scratching my head for the RAINBOW theme over at CAS Watercolour Card Challenge. I die-cut three palm branches out of water colour paper and put my primary watercolours to work. On each piece I added a primary pigment followed, on various parts, by it’s neighbouring primary: the first top red and yellow, the second middle yellow and blue and finally the third bottom blue and red. The purple on the bottom leaf came out quite dark, but it is purple in real life. After clear heat embossing them (to seal the colour), I placed them in the aperture of a MFT Die-namics Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Windows cut out of white textured card stock. I added a black tag stamped “mes chaleureux Remerciements!” (warmest thanks) with Versamark and white heat embossed.
Thanks for stopping by, warmest thanks 😉 , Joanna
It’s Jen T’s Sketch Challenge #335 from Freshly Made Sketches that inspired this card. Took some vellum and coloured with Bic Mark-it in rainbow colours and spritzed it with 90% alcohol. Cut an oval aperture with a Spellbinder die through the card base and another for the top front in order to frame the vellum. Then I used Alexander Renke flower dies and stamped “je pense à toi” (thinking of you) using white EP.

This card was a Perfect Princess at the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, thank you Linda C for choosing my card. Congrats to the Queen and other Princesses 😀
