Welcome back 😀 The July CAS Mix Up Challenge theme is to “Colour your Die-cuts” + stamping + Your Choice. For the watercolored poinsettia, I used Penny Blacks Joyful die cut. I used reds and greens, Daniel Smith paints, and once dry I added a second coat. Then the flower and stem were clear heat embossed twice. On the white card base, JOYEUSES FÊTES (Happy Holidays) was stamped and gold heat embossed, plus, a gold heat embossed strip was added to the left side. A smaller rectangle was cut out of pearly/shimmery card stock and a partial aperture, from Waffle Flower Lacy Layers 2 die, was added to the top right. Once the whole card assembled, I added gold liquid pearls to the center of the bloom and a few speckles on the card stock. Some glitter was sprinkled over this before it dried.
CAS Mix Up always add several videos to get you started and lots of inspiration from the Design Team. Hope you’ll have some fun and join us in our gallery. Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz,
This looks beautiful. The colours look so rich and I love the touch of gold xx

This is stunning, Joanna! No wonder your poinsettia looks like a jewel – watercoloring it twice and then heat-embossed it twice!! So gorgeous.
I love the way you colored the leaves and the way you framed the flower. The gold ties everything together. Fantastic holiday card! Hideko xx

I love this card. The flower really shines from the double embossing and the watercolor with paint is gorgeous. The die cut partial is a wonderful showcase for the flower.

Wonderful card! Love the intensity of colour you got by watercolouring the poinsettia twice and then heat embossing on top of that. Great layout with the vertical sentiment and the gold strip on the left edge.
