September CAS Mix Up Reminder

Capture d_écran 2018-08-14 à 13.55.15Welcome back to our September CAS Mix Up Reminder, you still have time to play.  The linky will close at midnight (PDST) on Monday, September 24th.  This month it’s Bonnie’s time to host and she has a great technique for us.  Inking up our stamps with Markers + Stamping + Your Choice.  For this card I used a Technique Tuesday Woodland Inspirations stamp.  I coloured the three tones with Tombow Brushes (493; 565 & 636) using my Misti.  Since the ink was pearling I added a coat of Versamark and then brushed on the colours onto 140lb Hot Press Arch cotton paper.  Once satisfied, I spritzed the cleaned stamp with water and pressed down until all the pigment blended into the paper.  Then I clear heat embossed.  I also use the same markers to colour the Memory Box Woodland Branch die cut.  The aqua feather was glued onto my white card base with Glossy Accents, followed by a square die cut of lacey Japanese paper, then the branch followed by the bird on a branch stamp.

Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, along with our super talented Guest Designer Chrissie!IMG_3081

  1. I always am so inspired by your mixed media textures and colors, Joanna. So clever to use your versamark with the markers to stop the feathering by heating. Gorgeous lacey rice paper, feather, bird print and branch. TFS my friend. Hugs..

  2. This is so artsy, Joanna! (Do I say this every time for your card!?) I love the unique design, which reminds me of Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement). All the texture is wonderful – the fluffy feather, the fablic-like Japanese paper, and the heat-embossed square bird panel. Hideko xx
