ONE layer Forals

Capture d_écran 2018-09-21 à 16.23.33Since it’s a dark rainy afternoon for the last day of summer, I played inside.  The Less is More Challenge #380 is ONE layer Florals.  I made a top folding card out of 140 lb (300g/m²) Fabriano watercolour paper.  I’m trying something new, so I passed my Penny Black ROSE die to dry emboss my paper, leaving me with a good impression of the flower.  Then, using my watercolours, I carefully painted, wet on wet then wet on dry to create this bloom.  “Just pour toi” (just for you) was stamped in gray.

  1. WOW ! C’est magnifique Joanna ! C’est tout simplement magique. J’adore l’incrustation laissée par la matrice de découpe, cela fait ressortir encore plus la rose. Et ces couleurs sont splendides. J’ ADORE ! Merci beaucoup de partager et de jouer avec Less is More.

  2. I’ve never tried this. It looks really difficult to keep your colours just on the embossing. But you did it perfectly – and in wonderful neutral colours too!

  3. Amazing design Jo! Love the dry embossing from your beautiful rose die. Really creates a beautiful outline. Love the colours you’ve used for the rose and leaves. I’ve never seen neutrals look so good! Your are inspiring, my friend! xx

  4. Now that’s a great technique to try and what a great die cut image. The colours are stunning and your water colouring amazing. So very striking and I always love popping in to be stunned and today is again one of those days x
