Playing with Color Throwdown’s #513 colour palette of Lime, Navy blue, and Green. I started by stamping the Lovely Lily stamp from Technique Tuesday onto Bristol paper. The frame wasn’t stamped since all I wanted was the heart of this beautiful bloom to start from. This was white heat embossed and I watercolored the three colours and allowed them to flow, occasionally spritzing with water.
I also added some white details with a white gel pen. Then I hand drew in the petals using the same tones. Adding some spatters and matting the piece onto Navy blue card stock to finish the card.
That’s my take on the CTD’s challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz, JoannaHere’s a close-up 😀
Amazing lily Jo! LOVE how you’ve used the challenge colours. Your hand painted outlines and white stamens add so much to the image. Fantastic work! xx
