Hideko has a great February CAS Mix Up Challenge lined up for us. Arlene is our special guest so there’s lots to inspire you on the blog along with special videos to get you started.
This card is a special Valentine’s for my wonderful hubby, Pierre. Using the SSS heart parade, I cut 4 layers out of 140lb card stock gluing them all together. I then silver heat embossed this 3 times to add to the dimension. I kept the inlays and added Dr Ph Martins iridescent inks, each a different colour. Then using my heat gun, that’s when the beautiful OUPS happened. They flew atop each other resulting in this artsy colourful appeal. To keep the dimension, the big heart inlay has 3 layers glued together and the yellow and green hearts glued to 2 layers. The others were kept to a single layer. Once adhered to my white card base, I added Crackle accents to the center piece. “Avec tout mon amour” (with all my love) was silver heat embossed twice.
Do pop on over to the CAS Mix Up blog for creative inspiration from our design team. You’ll definitely want to join in on the fun. Thanks for stopping by, hugs,
Beautiful hearts, very creative card.

Joanna, what a cool Valentine’s card you made for your DH, Pierre! Your die-cut hearts are so pretty with different levels of layers. I’d love to have more beautiful OUPS moments if I can get this kind of artsy colorful appeal. 😛
The crackle accent of the biggest heart adds so much interest, and the layered silver heat-embossing looks so smooth and stylish.
