April CAS Mix Up Reminder 2019

Capture d’écran 2019-02-11 à 11.30.37Welcome back to our layered stamping with heat embossing CAS Mix Up Challenge.   Susan is attacking Layered Stamping with Heat Embossing.  As usual, there is plenty of inspiration from the Design Team, our guest designer, Bozena, along with videos to kick start your creativity.

For this card I die-cut 3 diamonds and heat embossed each with a different colour of EP.  Then I placed an Altenew Floral Frame stamp in my Misti and stamped my card base with Versamark heat embossing with Champagne EP.   IMG_3751The 3 heat embossed diamonds were placed over the prepared card base, to be stamped with the leafy branch again with Versamark.   Each diamond was also heat embossed with the same Champagne EP.  I die cut two vellum pieces with the smallest butterfly from Penny Black’s Flutters, heat embossed the body with Champagne EP and glued this flutter onto the card.

Hope to see your scrumptious creations in our gallery.  Thanks for stopping by, Hugs,

I also made a quick Easter card too.  The egg die cuts are heat embossed with different colours of EP, then I added textured stamping and silver heat embossed them.  A white felt bunny and some coloured feathers were added for interest.  “Joyeuses Pâques” (Happy Easter) was heat embossed in silver. Pop it UP :D

Capture d’écran 2019-04-06 à 16.17.54The Inkspirational Challenge #184 theme is “Pop it Up“.  To pop up my mix media inchie, I cut it out of thick cardboard and then applied a layer of Gesso, plaster’s tape, acrylic inks in iridescent white and gold, a heart rhinestone, several layers of clear embossing powders with a few gold glass beads & crackled glass in-between.  To frame my tiny piece I gold heat embossed an Altenew fine frame along with a Stampendous mixed media stamp.IMG_3952

Capture d’écran 2019-04-04 à 16.10.15The CAS(E) this Sketch #319, designed by Brian King,  made me want to play.  So, I made a stencil from an Alexandra Renke Branch Wreath die, added modeling paste to the card base along with some silver pearl EP.  Of course I heated this right away.  Then I die cut a Little B Bouquet bloom in vellum and the outline in white card stock also heat embossed with silver pearl.    Masking my wreath, I used an MFT grid background stamp for the bottom half, heat embossed, and then sprinkled/spritzed Turquoise Brushos.  Once dry I added my flower with some turquoise twine, plus I added some little flower sequins.  That’s my take on the sketch.

Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz, JoannaIMG_3946 2

i’d pick you!

Capture d’écran 2019-04-02 à 13.22.44A sunshine card for a dear and special Capture d’écran 2019-04-02 à 13.22.26friend.  I heat embossed in Apple Green, several times, a Technique Tuesday Poppy Sentiments stamp.  Then I watercoloured in Gorgeous Grape the poppy petals.  I also applied some glass beads and some Liquid pearls over the blooms.  Finally, I added a speech bubble die cut in Grapefruit Grove card stock and stamped “if friends were flowers i’d pick you!” in white embossing powder.   This card is for the Less is More Challenge #392 and the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #315.

April CAS Mix Up 2019

Capture d’écran 2019-02-11 à 11.30.37

Welcome back to a new CAS Mix Up challenge. This April Susan is attacking Layered Stamping with Heat Embossing.  As usual, there is plenty of inspiration from the Design Team, our guest designer, Bozena, along with videos to kick start your creativity.

I die cut a Spellbinders Nestabilities Deckled Rectangle which I silver pearl heat embossed.  The edges were stamped several times with a Stamplorations mixed media elements stamp and  glitz heat embossed the first time and then silver heat embossed.  The same stamp & EP was used to prepare the card base with the same method.  Then I stamped the SSS Spring Flowers and black heat embossed 3 times.  White pigment ink was used to stamp the sentiment onto IMG_3771black card stock and silver pearl heat embossed.

For the second card I heat embossed tengucho paper, first with IO’s Script & Raspberry EP, second with MFT’s Grid & Eggplant EP, and finally with IO’s Gradation & Sapphire EP.  This was adhered behind an MFT Peek a Boo window.  To finish I added an SSS feather die cut heat embossed with the same EP above, adding iridescent embroider thread attached the white feather behind.

With all the inspiration from our Design team and our guest designer, Bozena, you’ll surely join us in our gallery.  The linky closes at midnight (PDST) on Wednesday the24th of April.  Hope to see you there.  Thanks for stopping by, HUGz,
