Welcome back to a new CAS Mix Up challenge. This April Susan is attacking Layered Stamping with Heat Embossing. As usual, there is plenty of inspiration from the Design Team, our guest designer, Bozena, along with videos to kick start your creativity.
I die cut a Spellbinders Nestabilities Deckled Rectangle which I silver pearl heat embossed. The edges were stamped several times with a Stamplorations mixed media elements stamp and glitz heat embossed the first time and then silver heat embossed. The same stamp & EP was used to prepare the card base with the same method. Then I stamped the SSS Spring Flowers and black heat embossed 3 times. White pigment ink was used to stamp the sentiment onto black card stock and silver pearl heat embossed.
For the second card I heat embossed tengucho paper, first with IO’s Script & Raspberry EP, second with MFT’s Grid & Eggplant EP, and finally with IO’s Gradation & Sapphire EP. This was adhered behind an MFT Peek a Boo window. To finish I added an SSS feather die cut heat embossed with the same EP above, adding iridescent embroider thread attached the white feather behind.
With all the inspiration from our Design team and our guest designer, Bozena, you’ll surely join us in our gallery. The linky closes at midnight (PDST) on Wednesday the24th of April. Hope to see you there. Thanks for stopping by, HUGz,
Two wonderful and lovely cards. Your cards are always different and unique and I always enjoy seeing them.

Love your unique and beautiful designs, Joanna! The color palette of the first card is so cool and the layered flower outlines and the sentiment embossing is so crisp and beautifully done. And what a creative idea to layer the patterns and script instead of images for the second card! The little window is full of treasures – the tengucho paper texture, the layered beautiful embossing, and the embossed feather with the real white feather!

As always your techniques and finished cards are amazing, Jo! I love the tiny embossed dots and sweet flower of the first card. The feather and embossed background along with the real feather make for an awesome card! Love that little bit of subtle color behind it!
