October CAS Mix Up Reminder 2019

This month, at CAS Mix Up, Bonnie is challenging us in using foil! Take a look at the videos for tricks and tips, but also to see some beautiful inspiration from the design team and our special guest Michele!

It’s my daughter’s birthday at the end of the month and having seen many embellished large single letters on cards, I decided to give it a try with this technique. Into the Misti went the Penny Black Gentil Whisper Orchid and I began stamping using Daniel Smith watercolours onto 140 lb Fabriano paper. Then, using my OLD Cricut, I cut out the letter “E”, to use as a stencil, applying Minc reactive Screen Ink to the card. Once dry, I passed the panel, with some gold foil into the laminator. I also watercoloured, stamped and then fussy cut the largest orchid to decorate the top of the E. Lastly, I used some liquid Pearls to embellish the bloom.

I hope we’ll get to see some of your scrumptious creations in our GALLERY. Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz,

  5. I sit here wondering how you come up with these techniques. This is brilliant! Love the interactive elements as well as your foiled E. I have that stamp and it took me a year to color it only half as beautifully as you did! Once again, outstanding in design and beauty!
