Wanting to play with Alcohol Inks, I initially wanted to make a one layer card to play along with the CAS(E) this Sketch #355 made in the past by Sam Simpson. Using my Gelli Plate, I applied a layer of gloss gel medium onto mixed media paper. Once dry, I added some clear alcohol and a little green and blue onto this, now, non porous surface. I then stamped and heat embossed a tiny feather, but it just didn’t POP. Determined to make this work I added these Alexandra Renke blooms, added Nuvo Drops with light blue glitter centres, and framed with some gold liquide Pearls. Then to flatten the curled OLC, created by the medium, I cut and matted this piece onto a white card stock base. The white “hugs” word die was layered 4 times over dark blue card stock. Here’s a close-up 😉
Thanks for stopping by, HUGZ, Joanna

Beautiful design Joanna. I haven’t tried using gloss gel as a layer over card stock in order to add AIs. Yours worked beautifully. Love the deep colours and those sweet white blooms with blue glitter centers. xx

I just love the eclectic style of this one! Only you could take alcohol ink one step further! I also love how you continued and succeeded in finishing when the first idea didn’t quite work out. Love this!
