Yellow Bloom

Maybe I make too many flower cards, but hey I have lots of girlfriends 😉 For this card I really liked the colours and the FLOWER (on the cushion) at the TIME OUT “chair photo” Challenge #160. Yet the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #369 got my attention. So I used at Tattered Lace Poinsettia die and applied some yellow acrylic shimmer paint. Then I used a Concord &9th Layering Leaves die to cut three different types of pattern paper to mimic the photo. I applied dots of paint with my stylus end and added a vellum tag stamped “plein de bisous” (lots of 😘 ).

Hope you are all well and safe, take care, HUGz, Joanna

  1. Now only do I like your use of the poinsettia and the gorgeous forming of it I just love what you did with the center of it. Your border looks fabulous and I do love the accent dots you added. Another amazing card! I sure would love to catch a glimpse of your media stash! You do use a lot of interesting products!

  2. What a great way to get extra mileage out of a poinsettia image, Jo! Love this bright and cheerful flower! A great idea to layer those leaves and I love the little vellum tag!
