Mariposa Azul

Butterflies are magical and I wanted a special Penny Black stamp version to be the focal point. Using the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #432 and the Color Throwdown Challenge #592 palette, I knew this Mariposa would be the star. Using a TCW tiny circle stencil I added some gold modelling paste and sprinkled some Schmincke aqua rich gold pigment to enhance the gold theme. The medium PB butterfly trio was stamped onto vellum with teal pigment ink and glitz heat embossed. Aqua was added to the wings and over the dried embossing paste. Finally, some gray Liquid pearls were added for the antennas and the body.

Stay SAFE & thanks for stopping by, HUGz, Joanna

  4. Beautiful! I always love reading about the products you use most of which are new to me. Love the gold embossing and the gorgeous, turquoise you used on your butterfly. The media you choose really sets your card above the rest. This is just fabulous!
