August CAS Mix Up Reminder 2020

Welcome back dear card makers. Loll has a fun summer watercolour theme for you over at the CAS Mix Up Blog. Don’t forget to visit for inspiration from our special guest Brenda and the design team.

This was a quick fun card of die cuts doing watercolour gradation with Zig markers. I made the glass out of Alcohol ink and acetate for some jazzing up. The background was Zig watercolour smooshing and then dry embossed with a fishing net die cut. The flip flops were first stamped with an Inkadinkado “Flowers and Butterflies Background” and then white heat embossed. Glitz heat embossing was done on the glass frames and tongs on the flip flops.

For the second card, I’ve had this NBUS stamp set since forever and this beach theme was the perfect time to get it out. I stamped with desert sand Memento Ink onto Bristol paper and proceeded to paint with Daniel Smith watercolours. Once done I heat embossed the purse and suntan lotion in clear EP and the hat with some glitz EP. I die cut an aperture onto white card stock to create a frame, added silver pearl heat embossed olive branches from Creative Expressions and added the sentiment “Bonne Journée” (Have a nice day) in silver pearl EP.

We would love for you to join us!  All you have to do is make a CAS card using the above theme and link it up to our challenge HERE.  Don’t forget we like to see lots of white space on your card. Thanks for stopping by,

Doodles

Do you ever wonder about how they design stencils? Well the “Doodles” theme at Less is More Challenge #426 got me doing some zentangles to complete these beautiful artsy stencils. This is a daisy stencil by TCW. Some ink blending with the DOX inks, a Micron pen and a little clear embossing powder to give it some shine.

Thank you TCW for the beautiful recognition 😀

Have a great day, stay SAFE, Hugz, Joanna
