Welcome back to our September CAS Mix Up Challenge “embossing with dies”. As most of you know, I try to optimize our precious dies, so you guessed it, I am your host this month! I love the diversity of these wafer dies and how they can give another beautiful appeal to Clean and Simple Cards. Magical Mac is our special guest this month and our design team has beautiful creations to spark some great inspiration.
For this card I dry embossed the SSS Woodland Rectangular Frame on 140lb watercolour cold press paper. The second card, I added some Versamark and then gold heat embossed. The Penny Black “Shall we dance” flower die was die cut out of the same watercolour paper. The trio was stamped with an IO BG “scratches” stamp and gold heat embossed and the duo was simply gold heat embossed three times. I die cut a second flower die out of gold paper to double up the first, gold embossed a feather and tied gold thread before adhering to the dry embossed panel. For the second card, I sponged Delicata gold ink inside the gold embossed frame before stamping an IO cover a card Script with the same ink. Some Nuvo drops and/or tiny pearls for the flower centres.

Hope to see you in our gallery, thanks for stopping by, HUGs

Two beautiful card. The embossed frame looks so pretty in the background, plain and gold embossed. Two great techniques and a great challenge.

I LOVE that you used the beautiful rectangular die for the subtle backdrop for the dainty gold heat-embossed flowers, Joanna! The matching gold feather & thread is a really tasteful accent.
The inked debossing is another wonderful way to use your dies. Thank you for showing us the beautiful variations, using the same dies. Looking forward to joining your challenge soon!

Two fantastic ways to use your frame die and dancing flower dies, Joanna! Both cards are equally beautiful and elegant. These techniques are something I rarely do, so I had fun making the cards and will add these techniques to my cards more often! Great challenge, Joanna! Thank you! xx
