Welcome back to a new CAS Mix Up “stencil” challenge hosted by Viv. Don’t forget to head back to the blog for inspiration from the design team, videos and our special guest Pat.
For this card I made two homemade stencils from dies (a Nellie Snellen frame die, which I first dry embossed onto the Bristol Paper and then used as a mask for the framing) A Memory Box Fresh Foliage die for the second stencil was used where I cut three branches from the positive piece to use as masking (to keep some white). I then used the negative to ink blend the leaves with some Peeled Paint DOX inks here and there. The Bonjour word die was cut and adhered 3 times in olive green card stock and topped with white card stock.
Hope to see you in our gallery, thanks so much for stopping by,

Your card is very elegant and I love the embossed frame! I’m a bit addicted to embossing with dies since the last challenge:)

Beautiful tone on tone stenciled green leaves for your background, Joanna. Your stacked die cut Bonjour was all your card needed for the final touch. Clever of you to make your own die cut leaf stencil and masks too. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs…Nancy

I adore your tone on tone leaves Joanna and what a great idea to make your own stencils and using the positive leaves to cover the background before colouring the rest of the leaves in that lovely green using the negative, and the resulting white ones are so pretty and coordinate beautifully with the white triple layer die cut sentiment. A brilliant card! I have really enjoyed being the GD this time and the tone on tone theme has been such fun to do. x
