Barbe à Papa

This is not a natural approach to Christmas, yet I thought that the colourful feathers would bring a flimsical theme to the gnomes’ beards, hence a candy cane allure. I chose the feathers according to the Color Throwdown Challenge #698 of red felt for the hat & nose, the pink, yellow and green for the feather beards. Hard to see, but the shoes are die cut from glitter paper of the same colours. Noël was stamped in black.

It’s a OLC over at the Less is More Challenge #467 “One Image”. Using the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #475 palette, I ink blended around the dry embossed tent and mask in tahitian tide and parakeet party. I stamped ” Le plus grand bonheur est celui que l’on partage” (The greatest happiness is the one we share). After stamping a heart in Sweet Sorbet…I thought about drawing tiny feet sticking out …but then not 😉

A father’s day card for the Masculine theme over at Less Is More Challenge #466. A small white rectangle to which I die cut the word PAPA (DAD) pasted over a silver heat embossed circuit grid and an underlayer slightly larger black rectangle to frame. Happy Father’s Day to all those special Dads.
