July CAS Mix Up Reminder

I’ve been playing a lot with this tissue paper July CAS Mix Up challenge.  Great discovers and loving all the possibilities.  So, I decided to create little frames with layers of die cuts.  Then I applied speckled tissue paper over these little frames with Matte Medium.   For my 3 cards, I used MFT’s STITCHED SQUARE SCALLOP FRAMES die and STAGGERED HEART Border die plus Penny Blacks’ FLUTTERS  Creative Die.  On the reminder card, the frame was adhered over a square of yellow tissue paper matted onto my white card base.  I stamped in black Versafine ink “Tout simplement” (Simply) and clear heat embossed.

The middle and right cards were filled with self levelling gel to which I added acrylic inks.  These were also matted over a square piece of coloured tissue paper (red for the hearts and gold for the butterfly).  The third card is the skeleton of the first card, I just had to recycle 😉 FullSizeRender 2

July CAS Mix Up Challenge

This month the July CAS Mix Up Challenge is working with tissue paper.  Lots of great videos on the blog to get you all excited to give it a try 😛

Using white tissue paper and Matte Medium, I adhered it to a large piece of Bristol Paper.  After allowing it to dry I really liked all the texture left on the paper so I decided to leave it as is and die cut a rectangle along with a square window for my stamped and bronze heat embossed butterfly.  The Memory Box SKETCH DAISY die cut was heat embossed 3 times with Sapphire.  The flower/leaves have a coat of white embossing powder, then a coat of clear embossing powder leaving a ceramic look.  The card came together by adding a little bronze thread.

Do join in on the fun!  There’s plenty of Design Team inspiration to be found on the blog.  Hope to see you there 😉  Thanks for stopping by, Hugs
