April CAS Mix Up Reminder 2019

Capture d’écran 2019-02-11 à 11.30.37Welcome back to our layered stamping with heat embossing CAS Mix Up Challenge.   Susan is attacking Layered Stamping with Heat Embossing.  As usual, there is plenty of inspiration from the Design Team, our guest designer, Bozena, along with videos to kick start your creativity.

For this card I die-cut 3 diamonds and heat embossed each with a different colour of EP.  Then I placed an Altenew Floral Frame stamp in my Misti and stamped my card base with Versamark heat embossing with Champagne EP.   IMG_3751The 3 heat embossed diamonds were placed over the prepared card base, to be stamped with the leafy branch again with Versamark.   Each diamond was also heat embossed with the same Champagne EP.  I die cut two vellum pieces with the smallest butterfly from Penny Black’s Flutters, heat embossed the body with Champagne EP and glued this flutter onto the card.

Hope to see your scrumptious creations in our gallery.  Thanks for stopping by, Hugs,

JoannaIMG_3749

I also made a quick Easter card too.  The egg die cuts are heat embossed with different colours of EP, then I added textured stamping and silver heat embossed them.  A white felt bunny and some coloured feathers were added for interest.  “Joyeuses Pâques” (Happy Easter) was heat embossed in silver. 1. I love the effect of penetrating the silver thread through colorful diamonds. You have perfectly arranged all elements on the card, your design is stunning. And the second card is one of the most beautiful Easter cards I’ve ever seen. I adore her!!
    Happy Easter, Susan!

  3. You heat-embossed the leaves twice (under and over the diamonds) to achieve the continuity. That’s so clever, Joanna! I love the colors and the layout of the diamonds and the pretty vellum butterfly! Your beautiful Easter card has so much interest – the layered heat-embossing, the colored feathers, and the felt bunny over the textured card base look fabulous!

  8. So clever the way you did the branch on the card base and then again over the three embossed diamonds! Love the addition of the little vellum butterfly. Also love your Easter card – wonderful colours and texture on the eggs, a fabulous feather nest for them, and an adorable bunny!
