November CAS Mix Up Reminder

Capture d_écran 2018-09-05 à 14.47.25Welcome back to the CAS Mix Up November Reminder, the theme is  “EMBOSSING FOLDER” hosted by our very talented Bonnie.  You still have time to play.  The linky will close at midnight (PDST) on Saturday, November 24th.

White on white cards are one of my favourites to make.  This technique is perfect for tone on tone cards.  I started with the Lawn Fawn scalloped circle stackables and then embellished this die cut with the MFT stitchable dot circle die. This piece was them dry embossed using a Couture Creations embossing folder.  Iridescent medium was applied using my Gelli Plate.  A Spellbinders flower power II die cut was also highlighted with the same medium, along with the Altenew Fine Circles Frame.  A MFT tag of vellum was stamped “Bisous” and heat embossed with silver pearl.  A tiny iridescent butterfly die cut was added and a thread with some beads tied to the stem. IMG_3139

With Christmas just around the corner, I made a second card using the Sizzix Texture Fades Embossing Folder – Snowfall/Speckles on the card base.  I cut 2 vellum banners and stamped on each “Ho Ho Ho!” & “C’est Noël”, white heat embossed the top and black Versafine on the bottom to give a shadow effect.  Snow-tex medium was added to the top, Nuvo drops,  along with a white glitter paper IO Town Builder, a MFT Lucky Star Die-namic and a felt IO Deer.IMG_3142Stop by the CAS Mix Up blog to see what the team and our very special guest Cornelia have created to get your mojo inspired.  Can’t wait to see your scrumptious creations in our gallery 😀

Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz,

Joanna

  1. Sorry to be late and commenting but I had difficulty logging into WordPress X
I so love the white on white on both of your stunning cards. The layouts are unique and so very eye catching.
Love how you’ve combined the embossing folder, die cuts and the delicacy of the vellum on your first card.
Great texture on your second card and wonderful effect of the shadowing on your second card.
Your cards are always so unique and so very creative and these are no exception. Very classy and so very elegant …….both of them X

  4. Ooh! These are so pretty, Jo! There is nothing more elegant than white on white IMO and you do it so well! I LOVE the little embossed flower on the first card and how well the die cut flower matches it! The tiny village on the layered vellum has so much interest! Love how you’ve shadowed the sentiments! Great job, dear friend!
