Pastel summer

Capture d’écran 2019-06-21 à 10.39.12Today is the first day of SUMMER 😀 Capture d’écran 2019-06-21 à 10.39.26Somehow the pastel palette at Color Throwdown #548 just seemed fitting for the IO Doodle Flowers BG stamp.  I heat embossed this in an aqua EP and coloured in with Zigs in  PinkAquaLavender and Mint.  I glued some Aqua and Mint jewelery twine to mimic Lee Ann‘s Freshly Made Sketches #393 and adhered the floral panel.  An IO “Thanks” word die was cut out of a left over piece.  This garden Capture d’écran 2019-06-23 à 08.22.21of doodle flowers also fits the theme over at the Inspiration Challenge #189!

Hoping my cards brings some sunshine in your part of the world today.  Thanks so much for stopping by, HUGz, JoannaIMG_4243 - copie

Happy Father’s Day

Capture d’écran 2019-06-16 à 11.11.44This Atomic Elements card, madeCapture d’écran 2019-06-16 à 11.11.33 for my special hubby, is stamped “Bonne Fête des Pères” (Happy Father’s Day) and gold heat embossed.  Are they a part of Nature, I think so 😮 , but then, I’ll let the DT from the Time Out Challenge #137 judge that 😉  Thank goodness that Brian, at CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #326, had this inspiring sketch.  Honestly, that’s what helped me put these pieces together.  Happy Father’s day to all you great DADs …and Brian too!

June CAS Mix Up Reminder 2019

Capture d’écran 2019-05-24 à 14.18.32Welcome back to our CAS Mix Up Reminder.  Mac has chosen the OMBRtheme this month and the design team, along with our special guest Bobby, have lots of beautiful cards prepared for you.

This card is truly a quick card.  Using the Penny Black largest flutter, I covered it with some white iridescent acrylic paint.  Then, using my stylus, I added dots of orange paint in the center.  I worked myself towards the exterior adding some titanium white acrylic paint to lighten up the colour twice.  For the card base I Silver Pearl heat embossed the Kaisercraft BG oriental stamp.  The center of the butterfly was heat embossed with blue then silver pearl to get this greyish body.   Finally I added some pearly sequins with a tiny pearl in the center.

Please join us in the fun, there are lots of videos to get the mojo on the creative gear.  The challenge closes on Monday the 24th of June.  Thanks for stopping by, HUGz,

Doodlings

Capture d’écran 2019-06-14 à 09.01.59Using Color Throwdowns #547 colourCapture d’écran 2019-06-14 à 09.01.49 palette challenge I applied Gelatos onto Concord and 9th Flourish stamps, spritzed and stamped onto Bristol paper.   The card base had been previously dry embossed with an MFT frame die and then masked.  The white space between the blooms was filled in with green Gelatos.  With a Micron black pen, I added some doodling to emphasize the petals along with some white gel pen for few anthers. Then I pressed my Versamark pad onto this masked area and added layers of glitz EP (hard to see 😉 ).  The three die cut flowers are from the Penny Black Shall We Dance, which I adhered with a pearl, to mimic Jacquie’s design for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #392.  “Juste pour toi” (just for you) was also handwritten to finish the sketch.

Blue Button

challenge icons-BlankAn ombré flutter for the Memory Box Challenge #50 “Cute as a Button” and the June CASCapture d’écran 2019-05-24 à 14.18.32 Mix Up Ombre Challenge.  For this card I used Memory Box’s Distressed Wyndham Collage for the card base and the MB Drifting Side Butterfly.  The vellum shadow die cuts were coloured with various blues of Gelatos and subsequently glitz heat embossed.  The outline was also heat embossed in sapphire blue several times and the trimming was heat embossed with Wow’s Midas touch.  I also added this embossing powder to the center of the flower button attached by silver thread to the card base.  To cover a smudge, I added white EP to the left edge of the card panel.

June CAS Mix Up 2019

Capture d’écran 2019-05-24 à 14.18.32This month at CAS Mix Up, Mac has an OMBRE theme for you.  As usual there is plenty of inspiration from the design team, our special guest Bobby and lots of videos.

For this card I used and IO script BG stamp through a homemade window stencil and applied three different shades of green.  Before removing the stencil, I sponged a little of the ink around the edges.  Then I die cut some Alexandra Renke snowdrops blooms adding some green to the stems and foliage.  This was then heat embossed with some glitz EP.  Before paper piecing the flowers I added some pink shading and covered the whole flowers with some Glossy accents and applied some Liquid Pearls for the petals.  I tied the bouquet with some iridescent embroidery thread and glued them on the ombre panel.

Can’t wait to see your take on our OMBRE theme this month.  Thanks for stopping by, Hugz,JoannaIMG_4168
