CAS Mix Up January Challenge

…any many more card making pleasures!  Just to get you started the January Challenge is “Cling Wrap” + Stamping + Your Choice (list options shown on the right sidebar).  Also, take a look at the CAS RULES.

Using a square mask on my Bristol paper base, I applied Daniel Smith (Green Gold and Iridescent Gold) watercolours.  A scrunched-up plastic wrap was pressed over the top and left to dry. The watercolours pool under the plastic wrap, especially at the edges, and create an interesting textured look when dry.  A Penny Black Ardor branch die cut out of cherry wood tape was adhered it to the left of this dried imprint.  Gold thread with gold beads were tied to the branch and a red heat embossed heart was glued atop one of the hearts.  “je pense à toi” (thinking of you) was stamped in Versafine sepia and clear heat embossed.  Do join in on the fun!  There’s plenty of Design Team inspiration and videos to discover on the blog.  Hope to see you in our gallery 😉  Thanks for stopping by, Hugs

  1. A splendid rich golden color in your scrunched watercolor. Love the CAS square design with the wonderful PB die shape topping it. Liked the little extra detail of the red heart on the brown branch. And of course the tiny gold beads on the golden thread. This would be a wonderful modern Valentine card for a guy too. TFS & Hugs
