New Baby Girl

To welcome a new baby girl for my niece, I am playing to the CAS Colours & Sketches theme for this slimline card giving it a 90 degree rotation. “Félicitations” (Congratulations) is dry embossed onto the top layer with the aperture gold heat embossed border and then lined with a dry embossed pink vellum. Teddy is hanging onto the bow and the 3 tiny heart die cuts were gold heat embossed to match.

Weddings

It’s the season for AMOUR (Love) and brides and grooms 😉 I’ve had these Technique Tuesday charming heart tag dies and thought, maybe the tag is not too small for the Less is More Tag Challenge #464. Lately, I’ve been using Winsor & Newton’s gold metallic bronze ink, just because it shines beautifully…and that makes me happy 😀

Bit of Bling

That’s the theme over at Less is More Challenge #460, it sounds like a jingle 😀 Using an old Memory Box Cream Puff Heart die, I used some WOW EP called “glitter metallic gold sparkle” for the frame and on the vellum sentiment “Félicitations” (Congratulations). The negative space of the heart was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug Textile EF. The sentiment strip die is from MFT. I’m also adding my card to the Just Us Girls Embossing Folder Challenge #623 and Happy Little Stampers.

Hearts & Stencils

Combining those two elements is always fun. Some embossing paste through, both, a flower and heart stencil. Adding two different types of gold embossing powder, then blasting it with my heat gun. The gold “Merci d’être là” means Thank you for being there. So appropriate right now, don’t you think?

OLC Amore

Yup a OLC for two challenges Color Throwdown #628 and Freshly Made Sketches #471. Just lots of stamping with a box of old candy heart wooden stamps. I had lots of fun and remembered Jennifer McGuire’s You-Tube, our favourite card Queen, on repeat stamping. A little glitter embossing and Nuvo drops for some bling.

Gilded heart

Moving fast forward beyond our COVID Christmas to my Special Valentine Man 😀 The colour combo theme over at Less is More Challenge #432 has two choices for us to play with. This quick card has Nellie Snellen dies for the dry embossing and for the red and gold inchies with a MFT heart die cut. “pour toi” (for you) is a French stamp from a local shop, stamped and white heat embossed.

LOVE tune

I’ve been practising some die embossing and I decided to do this for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #447 by Kim. The TIME OUT Challenge #167 inspiration is “Your love starts a dance party in my Heart”.

This is an IO word die, dry embossed and partially gold embossed. Some Zig gray for shadowing was added and a strip of a Hero Arts music score stamped to the left and silver pearl heat embossed.

I got honours at TIME OUT, thank you 😀

60th Wedding Anniversary

My oldest brother & sister in-law are celebrating their sixtieth 😮 As such, this had to be a very special card packed with goodness. No challenge, just some fun inspiration for you all. I started with a 12 x 6 piece of gray scale Strathmore paper for this square card. The 60 is from Papersmooches, the feather from the dollar store, the hearts from Gartner Studios, the gold paper from Au Papier Japonais, the fine frame from Altenew, the gold paint from Kuretake and the leafy die-cuts from Technique Tuesday. Here’s a close-up 😉
