Bonnie Klass and Loll Thompson, have HONOURED me to be a guest on the CAS Mix Up Challenge.  Thank you for the recognition!   Their challenges leave so much room for fun and creativity.  Why not give it a try?

The challenge for the month of August is:Capture d’écran 2016-07-22 à 12.09.07
STAMPING + SPRAYS + YOUR CHOICE

Here’s some inspiration.  Again I stencilled, applying glass beads texture gel medium, over watercolour paper and letting it dry.  I sprayed Dylusions spray inks (After Midnight & Crushed Grape) to imitate the night sky.  A little salt was added to give me tiny white specs for the stars far away.  To my surprise, the glass beads did not resist the colours, but hey, even if stars don’t glow, let’s go with the flow.  I framed a rectangle piece of this spray painted paper with SSS Woodland Rectangular Frame die in silver paper.  The moon was cut using five layers of vellum and attached together with a yellow eyelet.  With silver color bead string, a few beads, stars and sequins were tied through the eyelet and the ends knotted (I call this, card jewerly 😉 ).  The yellow moon was glued with Glossy Accents onto a circle of white vellum stamped “Fais un voeux” (Make a wish) hence the title of this post. All pieces were assembled and VOILA, the card is finished.

As mentioned, sometimes it works and sometimes not, but that’s the fun with the CAS Mix Up Challenges, the outcomes are surprising.  LOVE IT!  Hope you get inspired, thanks for stopping by 😀IMG_0685
