This card reminds me of my Grandmom who used to make our mittens as kids. Our cat was allowed to play with her yarn while she was knitting …a special friend that made her smile. So I grabbed a Brusho leftover from my box and double cut a square with Nellie’s Multi-frames die. A tiny circle die cut was covered with crocheting yarn which also covered my “smile” word die. The IO cat was heat embossed with Wow Puff white EP and the card was all assembled together. The CASology Smile Challenge #328, plus the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #305 all inspired this special memory.
Thanks for stopping by, HUGz, Joanna

Great card and fabulous idea to tie in the yarn and the embossing paste to give texture to the cat and ball of wool. Thank you for joining us for the CC&S challenge.

Your card makes me smile! The use of the yarn, and having it wrap around the kitty’s tail, is genius! The background is terrific, too. Thanks so much for sharing your card with us at CC&S!

This is fantastic, my friend! I love how the yarn twines around that fantastic kitty and into the smile! All that texture is amazing! What a lovely memory of your grandmother. My grandmother loved to crochet and didn’t have a kitty, but you brought back warm memories of watching her with those crochet hooks flying!

Wow, this is so imaginative. I just love the effect of the die cut covered in crochet yarn. I’d have never thought to do that . The puff embossing powder is perfect for that cat die too. What great texture on this card as well as vivid, bold color in your background!
