The March CAS Mix Up Challenge is SMOOOOOOSHING 😛  I know I can’t withhold my excitement since this is such a fun challenge.  Take a look over at the blog since there are lots of suggested technique/videos to get you started.  For this card I used Tombow brushes (#005 & #847) on an acrylic block, spritzed a little water and just smooshed it right onto my base white card stock.  I suggest using Bristol paper since my 110 lb paper didn’t really remain smooth and clean afterwords.  Once dry, I stamped a diamond lattice on top of this mid section and heat embossed with Pearl Champagne embossing powder.  I die cut the hibiscus out of another smooshed piece of card stock and heat embossed the whole flower with UTEE.  The white silver speckled stamen was then adhered while the UTEE was still hot.  White acrylic paint was used for the splatters to jazz up the rest of the card 😉  A piece of household cheese cloth was tucked underneath the blossom and a banner was stamped with the word “Une pensée…”  (A thought) and heat embossed with the same champagne powder.
